X-WR-CALDESC:Presenter: Mariela Murillo\n\nContrary to current popular beli
ef\, immigration laws have not changed in recent times. Immigration laws h
ave offered potential benefits to many under the Immigration and Nationali
ty Act (INA). Some of those benefits are specific to minors present in our
community. However\, the manner in which the INA is implemented constantl
y changes with every administration. Join us to learn a bit about how undo
cumented minors from our community may be affected by the INA and current
administrative policies\, and what we can do to provide guidance to our yo
uth in this situation. We will discuss the Special Immigrant Juvenile Stat
us (SIJS) process\, the T-Visa\, and the U-Visa\, what the requirements ar
e and the potential challenges our youth can face in these procedures. \n
