 oject within the County of Ventura\, but also connect with advocates acros
 s the nation and collaborate on exciting programs and initiatives focused 
 on youth justice reform. This CE will talk about work being done across th
 e nation and how it can intersect with our teen population in Ventura Coun
 ty.\n\nValerie’s experience as a minor in juvenile halls\, foster homes\, 
 group homes\, and placements in Los Angeles and Ventura counties created a
  passion to advocate for youth affected by the system by making it more eq
 uitable\, community based\, and healing focused. She is currently a Commis
 sioner on the County of Ventura Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Co
 mmission\, a Court Appointed Special Advocate for CASA of Ventura County\,
  and an Ambassador for Ventura County’s Homes with Heart. \n\nRegister by
