 n individual or a community to respond in a healthy way physically\, emoti
 onally\, and mentally to acute or chronic stress.\n\nBecoming “trauma‐info
 rmed” means recognizing that people often have many different types of tra
 uma in their lives. People who have been traumatized need support and unde
 rstanding from those around them. Often\, trauma survivors can be re‐traum
 atized by well‐meaning caregivers and community service providers. The eve
 nts of 2020 will also be discussed. Social isolation\, unrest due to racia
 l injustice\, and the COVID19 pandemic has exponentially increased the tra
 uma experienced by our most vulnerable students and highlighted the need f
 or increased support for all students and staff.\n\nParticipants will:\n• 
 Learn about the physiological impacts of trauma on the brain and possible 
 emotional\, behavioral\, social and intellectual/academic impacts on stude
 nts in foster care (e.g.\, attachment issues\, externalized behaviors\, di
 sabilities)\n• Learn about the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) studie
 s and how they relate to life-long impacts for students impacted by trauma
 \nn Learn about how schools and classrooms are creating trauma sensitive l
 earning environments and strategies for responding to these impacts\n• Hea
 r about the importance of self-care: addressing our own traumatic experien
 ces/history\n\nThis training is offered by the Ventura County Office of Ed
