X-WR-CALDESC:Contrary to current popular belief\, immigration laws have not
changed in recent times. Immigration laws have offered potential benefits
to many under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). Some of those be
nefits are specific to minors present in our community. However\, the mann
er in which the INA is implemented constantly changes with every administr
ation. Join us to learn a bit about how undocumented minors from our commu
nity may be affected by the INA and current administrative policies\, and
what we can do to provide guidance to our youth in this situation. We will
discuss the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) process\, the T-Visa
\, and the U-Visa\, what the requirements are and the potential challenges
our youth can face in these procedures. \nMariela E. Murillo is an attorn
ey whose practice includes Immigration and Dependency. Her former experien
ce consists of over ten years of public service work\, including as an Imm
igration Officer for the United Stated Citizenship and Immigration Service
s (USCIS)\, and a variety of roles with the Superior Court of California\,
County of Orange and County of Ventura. As an attorney\, she has worked i
