 ough the confusing process of funding their college education. By becoming
  more knowledgeable\, we can help our youth make college dreams a reality!
 \nYour Instructor: Cindy Mendoza has been in the education field for 15 ye
 ars servicing students and families of Ventura County. Becoming a first-ge
 neration college student led her to teach students in various grades\, inc
 luding students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). With a bach
 elor's degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in special education\, a
 nd master's degree in special education\, she now serves our county’s fost
 er youth who are transitioning from high school to post-secondary educatio
 n. As part of The Foster Youth Services Coordinating Program at Ventura Co
 unty Office of Education\, her and her teams goal is to ensure that childr
 en\, school districts\, and caregivers are supported to improve the lives 
 of children in foster care. Turning dreams into degrees one step at a time
  for children and youth in foster care placement.\n\nCE Hours: 2\n
