The Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology (WFVZ) (aka Camarillo Bird Museum), a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable corporation, is both a natural history collection specializing in eggs and nests of birds from around the world, and a research and education institution dedicated to bird conservation. The Foundation's collections are the largest in the world, and its mission is to contribute to the conservation of the world's wild bird species through the accessibility of the collections and their data to researchers, educators, students, and the public. The Museum is now going to be holding monthly public tours on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:30, and the last Friday of each month at 3:00 (except for Nov & Dec).

The First Tee - Ventura
The First Tee Central Coast provides introductory, intermediate, and advanced gold instruction for boys and girls, ages 7 to 17.
They meet at the Saticoy Country Club, 4450 North Clubhouse Drive in Somis, CA. Sessions are 9-weeks long and are offered in the spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Their goal is to provide golf instruction coupled with life skills, which make up our 9-core values. We introduce one core value at each of our 9 weekly sessions. Activities will include putting, chipping, and full swing practice.
Fees for classes and camps are $125 for a 9-week session. Discounts are available for siblings, and a sponsorship program is available for junior golfers who require financial support.
Recommended age for all classes is 7-17.

Bell Arts Factory's after-school and Saturday art programs provide a creative and nurturing environment for children to engage in art-making experiences. These free classes allow youth to enjoy a variety of artistic media, interact with others, and build self-confidence.
We welcome all, and the day's program may include painting, drawing, Native American crafts, recyclable art, mixed media or drama. There is an emphasis on multicultural lessons, which demonstrates there are many different peoples who contribute to our world of art.
Classes are held in Studio 93 on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 to 5:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Ages 6 to 13 may attend.

Operation Ventura
Offered by the YMCA of Ventura, offers youth who live out-of-home free registration in classes offered at the Ventura Y. The caregiver will need to sign the attached Community Registration Form and Waiver of Liability Form. The Y has agreed to eliminate the need for the "Photo Release" section of the Community Registration Form and that is the reason for it being crossed out. State Fish Hatchery in Fillmore

The California Department of Fish and Game maintains a Fish Hatchery in Fillmore, off Highway 126, about 1 mile east of downtown Fillmore. Watch for the sign - you make a quick right on Fish Hatchery Road, not more than a mile or so from downtown.
The hatchery is open 365 days a year, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bring dimes to purchase fish food and learn about fish and their role in California. This is a self-guided tour.

Chumash Indian Museum
