Memo to All CASAs: Visits and Transportation (Rev. 3.16.2021)

Memorandum To All CASAs,

We are now going back to allow in-person visits as long as it is safe for you to visit and are still following the CDC guidelines of wearing a mask and practicing safe social distancing. We are also reinstating the ability to transport your appointees, also with the discretion that all parties feel it is safe to do so. Same rules apply with Transportation as with in-person visits.

Guidelines for Transportation:

  • All parties feel safe and are comfortable with the Transportation.
  • CASAs are to Transport only their assigned appointee.
  • Appointees will sit in the back seat while the CASA drives.
  • Both the advocate and the appointee will wear their masks during transportation.
  • If you and/or your appointee are not feeling well there are to be no visits or transportation.
  • CASAs are encouraged to practice the cleaning/sanitizing of your vehicle before and after transporting your youth to ensure safety.

We are diving into the new normal and with that comes a new set of concerns. Please keep up the communication with me as well as the Social Workers and caregivers to ensure safety is paramount at all times.

Thank you all for everything you have done and continue to do. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
