In-Service CE: Impact of Domestic Violence on Children & Youth

This presentation provides a basic understanding of what domestic violence is, an introduction to the dynamics of power and control within abusive relationships and how this impacts the development of children. Participants will learn the definition of domestic violence, forms of abuse, how children are affected, indicators of abuse, and how we can promote resilience within our children.
Sarah Schouten holds a B.A. degree in Psychology and specializes in training medical providers on the topics of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking.
