Youth in foster care intersect with various other marginalized student groups. Unfortunately, students of color are overrepresented in the foster care system and face issues of systemic racism and explicit bias in schools that contribute to racial trauma and create inequitable environments.

Courageous Conversations workshops will address equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) through a "lens of racial equity". Participants will engage in conversations that help them examine beliefs, behaviors, and results in personal, professional, and organizational contexts. They will participate in deep dialogue about race and learn how to promote racial equity in schools and organizational settings.
