Jay is the founder of Innovative Marketing, an organization providing promotional marketing/products and event planning/production. A lifelong southern Californian, he was raised in Los Angeles and attended LAUSD schools before spending nearly three years in the U.S. Army working in Personnel Management and Public Information.
He earned a double major degree in Journalism & Psychology from California State University, Northridge where he did volunteer work as Editorial Editor of the college daily newspaper and worked as a Junior Counselor assisting Vietnam era returning veterans.
Since moving to Ventura County, Jay has been in the leadership of a number of community organizations serving as a board member and past president of the Camarillo Rotary; Camarillo Hospice; Ventura County Brain Injury Center; Central Coast World Affairs Council, Alzheimer’s Association, Ventura County Leadership Academy and Regional Kaiser Permanente Advisory Council.
His volunteer work has focused on keeping area youth safe from abuse; helping prepare them for future educational success; and serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for three brothers working their way through Foster Care, Guardianship and eventual adoption.
