In-Service CE: The Secret Formula

The Secret Formula is a collection of tools designed to enhance communication between the generations. The Secret Formula has strategies that have been used successfully while working with students in grades k-12. Many of these tools are used to promote positive thoughts and positive actions. By the end of the presentation, participants will have a minimum of 10 strategies that benefit mind, body and spirit.
Participants will identify:
• Who is your hero?
• STOP PAUSE, THINK and GO!
• The Secret Formula
• PAUSE- breathing meditations
• What comforts me?
• What to do when feeling blue/gratitude list
• The power of a mantra
• Little ditty- "Let it go, shake it off, SPTG!"
• Goal sheets/bucket list
• Feeling cube game
• Me box- "What makes me be me"
Diane Diaz Gomez, Ph.D. has been a school counselor working with students in grades K-12 since 1985. The Secret Formula is dedicated to all of her students she has known throughout the years. Dr. Gomez's goal is for kids to learn these strategies to help them be the "best that they can be!"
