Depression and Suicidal Ideation

This suicide prevention month, learn important background and facts you should know about depression and suicidal ideation. Between seasonal depression to severe episodes of depression, learn the warning signs and the ways these signs can present themselves between age groups.
Part one from 6-7:30 will focus on why childhood depression/suicidal ideation continues to escalate and the related signs and symptoms. Part 2 from 7:30-9pm will take a look at warning signs of suicide as well as treatment interventions and resources available for depression and suicidal ideation.
PLEASE NOTE: For your convenience, join us for Part 1 only from 6-7:30pm or stay for the entire three hours. Credit will be provided based on hours attended.
Your Instructor: Lori Switanowski has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 30 years! She is an adoptive mom, an FKCE Program Director alumni and founder of Our Family Comes First, specializing in working with traumatized children and their families. She teaches parenting classes throughout the state of California and Texas. She brings a wealth of both personal and professional experience with her.
