Time for the Talk - Sexual Awareness Discussions with Kids
Presented by Ventura & Oxnard FKCE
Instructor: Dr. Judy Sullivan Osterhage
While its popular belief that "the talk" should be a looming discussion to be had with teens, sexual awareness should actually be an ongoing conversation that is built upon throughout the ages and stages of infancy to adolescence. Join this new training to explore the importance of each stage and age in regards to sexual development and awareness. Within each stage, Dr. Judy will discuss how to approach this topic in a way that children can relate and understand, as well as behaviors that parents should be aware of. Within these conversations, participants will learn key tips, talking points, and overall ways to model consent, boundaries and awareness!
Your Instructor: Dr. Judy Sullivan Osterhage is a Parent Coach Consultant with Parenting Matters & an Early Childhood Specialist. She holds a Doctorate in Elementary Education, and with that, has brought educational trainings to foster and adoptive parents for over 30 years!
