This is part 3 of our 3-part LGBTQ series. Participants will explore/revisit the fundamental aspects of LGBTQ+ communities and ways they can be supported. Part 3 will expand upon the first two training sessions and explore key terms and concepts.
Training Objectives:
- Participants will be able to define key terms related to gender expression and sexual identity.
- Participants will be able to describe some of the needs and challenges LGBTQ+ people face
- Participants will be able to identify strategies for supporting LGBTQ+ people
Your Instructor: Dr. Christian Alejandro Bracho is a Professor of Teacher Education at Cal State Long Beach. He worked as a high school English teacher for 10 years in the San Gabriel Valley
