Connecting with Teens
Presented by Ventura and Oxnard College FKCE
Trainer Dr. Judy Sullivan Osterhage
Navigating the teen years can be both rewarding and challenging—especially as youth seek independence while still needing guidance and connection. In this training, you’ll start by gaining insight into the social and emotional changes teens experience beneath the surface of their everyday behaviors. Then, learn practical strategies for responding with empathy, setting healthy boundaries, and maintaining your role as a steady, supportive presence. Together, we’ll explore how to strengthen relationships with the teens in your care while also helping them develop a strong sense of identity and self-worth.
PLEASE NOTE: For your convenience, join us for Part 1 only from 6-7:30pm or stay for the entire three hours. Credit will be provided based on hours attended.
