Implementing Treatment Foster Care Oregon - Adolescent (TFCO-A), an Evidence-Based Therapeutic Foster Care Model

Beyond an introduction, this presentation will review the research, implementation, and model overview of Treatment Foster Care Oregon - Adolescent (TFCO-A), an evidence-based model recognized by Family First Prevention Services Act, Title IV-E, and Blueprints, amongst other registries. The presentation will review the outcomes of 10 years post-intervention and discuss critical elements of model delivery to reach clinical fidelity and fiscal sustainment.
Participants will:
1. Identify differences between therapeutic foster care and Treatment Foster Care Oregon – Adolescent (TFCO-A)
2. Describe model delivery across multiple systems simultaneously
3. Identify roles and tools associated with the TFCO-A model
4. Define TFCO-A’s approach to trauma-informed and trauma-responsive care
5. Identify steps to effective implementation and model fidelity
