Strategies for Improving School Attendance and Punctuality

Instructor: Dr. Joy Springer
This training focuses on raising awareness among parents and caregivers about the critical role that regular attendance and punctuality play in student achievement. Participants identify common barriers that affect attendance and discuss practical strategies and community resources to help families overcome these challenges. The session also emphasizes the importance of establishing consistent routines at home and maintaining proactive communication with schools to support student success and engagement.
Dr. Joy Springer is a career educator with expertise in teacher training and educational structures within both K-12 and higher education systems. With California Teaching and Administrative Credentials, a Master's Degree in Administration, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, Joy assists organizations in collecting, evaluating and incorporating data to drive program objectives. Dr. Springer has nearly 20 years of experience teaching students from Kindergarten to graduate school.
