Moving from a Space of Surviving to Thriving
Presented by Strengthening Families VC and Kids and Families Together, a Division of Pathpoint
Participants will learn about the important role culture and community play in healing, understand the value of trauma-informed approaches when supporting youth, and gain knowledge of the various free mental health resources available in California.
Meet the Trainer: Dayna Barrios has a Master's degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and has worked within Native communities for over a decade. She is the former chairwoman, and current enrolled member, of the Barbareno/Ventureno Bank of Mission Indians. Dayna is a cultural advisor and conducts cultural awareness trainings across Ventura County to raise awareness and increase education about Native communities.
