CASA of Ventura County - Grief and its Effects on Children in Care *In-Person*
We all experience grief at some point over the course of our lives. Whether it is a relationship ending or the passing of a loved one, loss is a part of life. Children in care often face grief in a multitude of ways. Grief occurs when a child is removed from their biological family's home. Children may enter the system after a parent dies. They are sometimes separated from siblings and beloved pets. All of this can cause great sadness. Join us as we discuss how grief affects children and how you, as a CASA, can offer empathy and support to your appointee.
