Permanency 101
Presented by Ventura and Oxnard College FKCE
Trainer Renee Cervantes
Understanding the difference between permanency options can be very confusing. In this training, you'll learn the basic difference in services and benefits associated with Legal Guardianship versus Adoption. After reviewing the requirements and steps in the different options, you'll gain tips and important knowledge needed when approaching the court room and the processes and resources associated. Join us to become more informed and confident in choosing the best option for you and your family!
Your Instructor: Renee Cervantez has held various titles and roles throughout her life and whether in her personal life, career, or volunteer work, her favorite is helping people grow and learn. Renee has a master’s degree in education with a specialization in family & community services. She has a bachelor’s degree in social science with a minor in child development.
Renee has lived in Ventura County all her life and is happy to raise her family here as well. She lives with her husband and their three children. Renee and her husband, Joseph became foster parents (and now a RFA home) in 2015, and they have been blessed by adoption 3 times!
