I have been a volunteer with CASA of Ventura County for two years after first learning about the program from my sister, a volunteer with CASA of Orange County. I recently retired from a 33-year career working for the City and County of Santa Barbara in a variety of planning and management roles.
I was a volunteer with the Adult Literacy Program for three years gaining an appreciation for underserved members of our community and how rewarding it is to help. CASA has provided a similarly rewarding experience and I have been impressed with the quality training and the support of CASA’s knowledgeable and dedicated staff and volunteers.
