Presented by Strengthening Families VC and Kids and Families Together, a Division of Pathpoint
Instructor: Senta Greene and Dr. Kathleen Van Antwerp
This training focuses on building learners’ understanding of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). Participants define CSEC and identify the legal issues and impacts related to it in California. The session also helps learners interpret acronyms for commonly used terms and recognize the agencies and initiatives involved in combating human trafficking. In addition, participants identify common physical and behavioral indicators exhibited by children and youth who are experiencing commercial sexual exploitation. The training concludes with strategies for harm reduction to better support and protect vulnerable youth.
