Explore the role that resource parents play as they prepare youth to age out of foster care and possibly enter Extended Foster Care. By learning what steps you can begin at home, gaining insight from a young adult in extended foster care, and learning what available resources you can start connecting your teen with, you'll leave feeling more confident in guiding and releasing your child into successful independence.
Nora Hayes is a public speaker, educator, and foster adoptive mother with a wealth of diverse experience ranging from educating in the medical field to presenting in prison systems. She has specializations teaching in subjects such as chidbirth, parenting, health and safety classes. Additionally, as a certified trainer in the Children's Trust Fund Alliance’s national curriculum, "Bringing the Protective Factors Framework to Life In Your Work," Nora is able to train others in their state and region. Within her 30+ years of experience, Nora is also a foster/adoptive mom to a daughter with experience in the foster care system. She continues to strive to help others navigate through their parenting journey by sharing and intertwining her professional and lived experience!
