In-Service CE: Gender vs. Sex vs. Orientation

Big changes are afoot in the ways that youth understand and talk about gender and sexuality. If you work with youth, you are likely to encounter terms you haven't heard before and concepts that feel foreign and confusing. Similar changes in understanding are happening in medicine and mental health, which is transforming our approaches when serving sexual and gender minorities. This inservice is designed to help you feel more comfortable and fluent when discussing these issues, help you feel less behind-the-curve when talking to youth, and to give you up-to-date information on the way that physical sex, gender, and sexuality are understood within the medical and psychological community.
