In-Service CE: Advocating for Non-Minor Dependents – What’s Normal?

Advocating for the Non-Minor Dependent (NMD) is different from advocating for children and youth. In this in-service you will learn about eligibility requirements and participation conditions for extended foster care, placement options, and paperwork required. Additionally, we will discuss how your relationship with your appointee will change, how to work with social workers in the Youth Services Division, and resources for NMDs. Finally, we will have a panel of experienced CASAs to share what they have learned working with NMDs.
