CE: Culturally Responsive Care: Understanding and Mitigating Implicit Bias

This session equips staff and care providers with knowledge and skills to better understand and support the cultural backgrounds and needs of children and adolescents in out of home care. Participants will learn about implicit bias, including strategies for detecting personal biases, understanding the relational and systemic impacts of these biases, and learning strategies to mitigate biases and their effects.
Unless noted otherwise, all sessions will be held in-person in Training Room A on the Steve Elson Campus. Due to ongoing COVID-19 safety practices, class sizes may be limited to allow for adequate physical distancing. Additionally, masks are required for all participants and trainers.
