CSEC 2: Responding with Care
This NEW training is specially designed for resource parents to build on the knowledge gained in the CSEC 1 Building Awareness Class (previously offered as CSEC: Awareness & Identification.) We will briefly review indicators of commercial sexual exploitation as well as:
• Harm reduction (This approach aims to reduce the impact of risky behaviors over time and to assist the youth in their long-term safety and stability.)
• Trauma informed care
• Available county and state resources.
• An interview with a local survivor of CSEC for household income. It is the methodology and results of this recent study we will be discussing.
