Connecting the Dots: How Colleges Can Collaborate with Homeless Services Systems to Address Student Needs
Colleges across the nation have become increasingly concerned with meeting students’ basic needs given the increasing prevalence of housing and food insecure students and the exacerbation of those insecurities wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Addressing homelessness among students is particularly challenging and one emerging strategy is expanding collaboration between college campuses and local community homeless services systems.
John Burton Advocates for Youth will be hosting a webinar featuring several college staff and housing services providers, who have partnered together to provide unique solutions to the rising numbers of homeless and housing insecure college students. Participants will learn about these successes and will be offered recommendations for how others can replicate these models.
