Avoid the negative behavior loop by encouraging your child to take healthy risks! By providing a sense of connection and bonding, parents can create opportunities for children and teens to engage in behaviors that are within appropriate developmental boundaries. Lastly, we will provide an overview of high-risk behaviors, interventions, and when to seek help for those behaviors.
Raquel Montes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with system involved youth, caregivers and their families. Her passion is to increase awareness, support and self-compassion to all of the people she serves. She has two teenagers of her own, a dog named Rascal, and is committed to being a lifelong mentor to many young people who grew up in foster care. She brings a wealth of experience to the classes she teaches; You will leave with insights and practical tools!
