Five Protective Factors
Presented by Ventura & Oxnard FKCE
Instructor: Nora Hayes
Children are incredibly resilient and with the help of a supportive community and the Five Protective Factors, they can, in time, overcome their Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The Protective Factors have been shown to strengthen families, reduce the likelihood that abuse and neglect will occur, and mitigate long-term consequences of experiencing child abuse and neglect. Join us to engage with the Protective Factors Framework initiative that keeps families strong and children free from abuse and neglect.
Learning objectives include:
Learn the five protective factors that will help families stay strong and prevent child abuse and neglect.
Identify daily strategies and actions that help build those protective factors.
Understand what it means to work with families and children in a strength-based way.
