Helping Your Youth Handle Peer Pressure

Every child, teen, and even adult is prone to experiencing peer pressure, and it can come in the form of an encouragement to motivate positive growth or a negative influence that threatens a person's well-being. In part one of this training, participants will learn about the impoertance of peer pressure, along with its 3 negative consequences and 3 warning signs that a youth in being bullied. Then, part two will address 3 interventions and 6 ways to help children combat peer pressure. It's never too early or too late to start the conversation of peer pressure and build-up or reinforce self confidence and safety for your youth in care.
PLEASE NOTE: For your convenience, join us for Part 1 only from 6-7:30pm or stay for the entire three hours. Credit will be provided based on hours attended.
Your Instructor: Lori Switanowski has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 30 years! She is an adoptive mom, an FKCE Program Director alumni and founder of Our Family Comes First, specializing in working with traumatized children and their families. She teaches parenting classes throughout the state of California and Texas. She brings a wealth of both personal and professional experience with her.
