CASA of Ventura County - Foster Youth Bill of Rights
Location: West Wing Conference Room, Ventura County Community Foundation (4001 Mission Oaks Blvd., Camarillo)
Instructor: Mandee Sanderson
When a child enters the child welfare system they have legal rights that are protected as outlined in the Welfare and Institutions (WIC) code. They have personal rights, education rights, the right to participate in their case plan, the right to attend court, health care rights, and more. Join children's attorney Mandee Sanderson in a discussion about the important rights your child/youth has while in the system and what they can do if they feel those rights are being violated.
