Online Safety for Children and Parents

The objectives of this topic are to help participants understand the various dangers children face online and learn effective strategies to address these risks. The goal is to equip individuals with best practices for promoting online safety, including how to recognize and respond to threats such as cyberbullying, inappropriate content, and online predators. Additionally, the topic will cover appropriate actions to take when harmful incidents occur, ensuring that children receive the support and protection they need in the digital environment.
Mr. McAndrews spent 25 years as a Special Agent with the FBI. He was the Crimes Against Children Coordinator for the New York Office of the FBI and a Team Leader for the FBI's Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team. He investigated crimes involving the Sexual Exploitation of Children by use of the internet and other means.
