Adolescent Cognitive & Psychosocial Development

This training will provide an overview of adolescent cognitive and psychosocial development including the major developmental tasks during adolescence, discuss the linkages between cognitive, physiological, and psychosocial development and life events on adolescents’ health, behavior, and the development of competencies as well as the influence of contextual factors and life events on development. The webinar will conclude with implications and strategies for supporting adolescents.
Participants will be able to:
Describe the major cognitive and psychosocial changes that take place during adolescence
Analyze the influence of contextual factors and life events on the development of competencies and unhealthy risk behaviors in adolescence
Apply best practices to support positive developmental outcomes for adolescents
