In this workshop, participants are encouraged to recognize the widespread impact of trauma and understand potential paths for healing and recovery. It emphasizes the importance of realizing the effects of trauma, proactively setting boundaries to minimize over involvement and under involvement with youth and recognizing the signs and symptoms of a youth’s trauma responses in order to respond accordingly to escalating behaviors and resist re-traumatization.
