Effects of Domestic Violence on Children
Presented by Ventura and Oxnard College FKCE
This class will create awareness and understanding of family violence and its impact on children. Participants will begin by learning about the statistics, prevalence and types of domestic violence. After reviewing the background, participants will examine the impacts and long-term consequences on a child's development (infancy through teen years), especially as it's realted to familial violence. With in-depth understandings of domestic violence, participants will learn how to recognize domestic violence in a child's life and use their role in their child's life to support and promote resiliency.
Your Instructor: Anne Rodriguez is a trainer & master coach with over 20 years of experience training and coaching for organizations like Child Welfare Services, Law Enforcement, Probation, Youth Independent Living Programs and Rehabilitation Programs. She is also a Master Mindset Coach helping clients remove blocks to be their best self and live their highest quality life.
