Armine Papouchian

Arminé has been a CASA since 2019 to two children and is trained to be an advocate for juvenile justice youth.  She has a passion for helping give court-dependent children voice, mentorship and second chances in life.   She is also a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and a member of Presidents Associates at CSUN for volunteering ambassadorship as an alumni.  Her previous volunteer experiences include Ruben Castro Food Bank, tutoring at Many Mansions, American Red Cross shelter in place services, Gavin Newson’s testing task force to help expand the testing sites statewide in the beginning of Covid 19, women’s homeless shelter in LA, building for Habitat for Humanities in US and Armenia and Hope of the Valley bridge housing for homeless in LA.   

Arminé retired as a Senior VP from Blue Shield of CA 3 years ago after being in healthcare for over 30 years to pursue her second peak through service and paying forward. She does healthcare consulting in addition to her volunteer work.  She is a published author and her first book, Love Has No Limits was published in December of 2020. She received her BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Computer Science from CSUN and an MBA with concentration in Finance from Pepperdine. She has an FLMI insurance designation, Strategic Negotiation certification from Harvard Business School and Business Leadership certification from Haas School of Business at UC Berkley. 

Arminé has lived in Ventura County with her family for over 30 years. She is an avid traveler and has been to six continents and to over sixty countries.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, art museums, concerts, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
