Ever since I chose psychology for my major at UC Berkeley, I became fascinated with the notion that people can remake themselves and improve their life with the right support from others. This led me to a long career in Human Resources management and, after early retirement, to volunteering first as an adult literacy tutor and later at CASA of Ventura County.
I have been with CASA for 5-1/ 2 years and believe the individual, reliable, and trustworthy relationships that CASAs develop with their appointees can make all the difference in a child’s life.
In my spare time, I’m quite the foodie which fits in well with my passion for international travel. I also enjoy hiking, cooking, reading, and spending time with my family including my new grandson.
