Immigration
Contrary to current popular belief, immigration laws have not changed in recent times. Immigration laws have offered potential benefits to many under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). Some of those benefits are specific to minors present in our community. However, the manner in which the INA is implemented constantly changes with every administration. Join us to learn a bit about how undocumented minors from our community may be affected by the INA and current administrative policies, and what we can do to provide guidance to our youth in this situation. We will discuss the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) process, the T-Visa, and the U-Visa, what the requirements are and the potential challenges our youth can face in these procedures.
